Doors of Return
This exhibition by Yoruba artist Dayo Laoye is a retrospective of his twenty- five year journey from Ede, Nigeria to Howard University to Chicago. These works reflect many aspects of traditional Yoruba culture as it is expressed in contemporary society. In conjunction with the exhibit will be a series of workshops that examines the Yoruba aesthetic and its influence on current arts practices.
